Online webinar “Cuisine and Restaurant Business of Slovakia”
On December 15, 2025, teachers from the Chernivtsi Institute Trade and Economics of SUTE joined the international online webinar “Cuisine and Restaurant Business of Slovakia,” dedicated to the peculiarities of Slovak cuisine, the restaurant business, and the country's tourism development.
The event was supported by La Fondation pour la Formation Hôtelière (Switzerland) and broadcast from the Hotel Academy in Prešov (Slovak Republic).
During the webinar, lecturers Mgr. Ondrej Radačovský and Mgr. Dominika Franková presented Slovakia as an attractive tourist destination with a rich cultural heritage, developed gastronomic tourism, and a modern restaurant industry. Participants learned about traditional Slovak cuisine, authentic dishes, and current trends in the development of catering and hospitality establishments.
The lecturers paid considerable attention to Slovakia's tourism potential, in particular the mountain resorts of the High Tatras, historic towns, balneological resorts, and the development of rural and gastronomic tourism. The combination of natural resources, culinary traditions, and high-quality tourism infrastructure forms the country's competitive tourism product.
After the final test, certificates were awarded to: Tetiana Brykova, Kateryna Hildebrandt, Inna Danyliuk, Roman Hyshchuk, Tetiana Marusiak, Tetiana Nezveshchuk-Kogut, Karina Palamarec, Anastasia Parashchuk, Olha Romanovska, Liubov Strutynska, and Valentyna Chychun.
The participation of the institute's teachers in international educational events promotes the exchange of professional experience, the development of international cooperation, and the implementation of European practices in the training of specialists in the field of tourism and hospitality.
