GLOBAL MONEY WEEK 2026: CHITE SUTE AMONG UKRAINE’S FINANCIAL EDUCATION LEADERS
On April 26, 2026, the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of SUTE (ChITE SUTE) achieved a major national milestone, securing 3rd place out of 96 competing universities in the prestigious "Five Most Active Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine" contest. This elite recognition was awarded during Global Money Week 2026, a prominent international youth financial awareness campaign organized by the National Bank of Ukraine, with the vital support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the NGO "Junior Achievement of Ukraine." To honor this outstanding achievement, ChITE SUTE was presented with a winner's cup and a curated collection of specialized financial literacy literature for the institute’s library.
The institute's award-winning campaign featured a massive, multifaceted curriculum, with students, faculty, and staff actively driving 40 distinct financial literacy events. The comprehensive lineup included an experiential field trip to a commercial bank, 7 dynamic lectures, 10 interactive webinars, 2 specialized masterclasses, a methodological seminar, an intensive workshop, 3 strategic team games, 5 competitive quizzes, an expert-led round table, a dedicated student forum, a "Financial Day" library exhibition, and a scientific conference. Additionally, the community rallied behind five distinct "Bright Global Money Week 2026" challenges.
ChITE SUTE independently designed and hosted 28 of these events, while successfully integrating its community into 12 broader all-Ukrainian and partner-led initiatives. This massive mobilization yielded extraordinary engagement: 41 faculty members directed the initiatives, yielding a direct reach of 806 active participants and generating over 10,350 digital views on the campaign's educational materials.
This podium finish is no anomaly; it highlights a powerful tradition of academic excellence. ChITE SUTE has consistently dominated this national arena, capturing top awards and winner's cups consecutively from 2023 through 2026. By continuously spearheading high-impact financial literacy campaigns, ChITE SUTE ensures its student body develops the modern economic mindset, responsible money management skills, and sharp financial decision-making critical for navigating today's global economy.
