The Department of Management, Marketing, and International Logistics



General Information


The Department of Management, Marketing, and International Logistics educates individuals at different educational levels, including Bachelor's and Master's degrees, in the following fields of expertise:

- Hotel and Restaurant Management;

- International Logistics and Supply Chain Management;

- Business Management;

- Marketing;

- Marketing Management.

Modern specialised laboratories and classrooms are used in the educational process of the department:

1. Laboratory of marketing ideas

2. Classroom of marketing and advertising

3. Laboratory for design and automation of service and production processes

4. Laboratory for the production technology of restaurant products and equipment

5. Laboratory for the organisation of hotel services

6. Laboratory for the organisation of restaurant services

Specialised training laboratories and classrooms are provided with various types of technical resources: specific laboratory equipment, machinery, mechanisms, exhibition stands, measuring instruments, computers with software.



Areas of scientific research and studies



The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department is working on a research topic: "Formation of the customer loyalty system by service enterprises", which involves substantiation of theoretical foundations and practical approaches to the formation and management of the customer loyalty system. Scientists of the department study the problems of management, marketing, international logistics in Ukraine and abroad, and test the results of their research at international and national conferences.



Cooperation with stakeholders



The implementation of the department's educational process involves creative cooperation with stakeholders. In particular, the department's stakeholders are involved in updating current and developing new educational programmes and curricula, providing suggestions for their improvement and modernisation. Stakeholders also review educational programmes in terms of professional training, without interfering with the procedures for the educational process for the mandatory component responsible for the formation of learning outcomes for integral and general educational competencies of the students.

The stakeholders of the department include 15 hotel and restaurant complexes, more than 15 restaurants, 10 travel agencies and 4 professional public organisations.



Practical training



The practical training of specialists, provided by the Department of Food Technologies, Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Services, includes practical and laboratory classes conducted by the academic staff of the Department. These classes take place in the laboratories of the Institute, at the Department's branches, which are organized based on the ‘Picnic’ restaurant. Practical training also involves the participation of leading practitioners in masterclasses, seminars, trainings, and webinars, along with students taking part in various events organized by partner companies.

An essential component of the practical training of the department's specialists is a foreign practice, which is facilitated through cooperation agreements with international partners of the Institute. These agreements currently span 24 foreign higher education institutions, encompassing partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Latvia, Moldova, Northern Cyprus, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and others.

The department has established collaboration with the UCM-Italy Association to facilitate foreign internships and conduct a series of training workshops and online courses for learning the Italian language at the Institute.



Our achievements



Throughout the years of the department's activity, both teachers and students have achieved recognition and won prizes in various competitions and conferences, including scientific research competitions, science festivals, and student advertising festivals.
