Student Scientific Conference in the Foreign Languages
«Development of the Ukrainian Economy: Challenges, Problems and Prospects»


On May 1, 2024, Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of SUTE hosted the Student Scientific Conference in the foreign languages “Development of the Ukrainian Economy: Challenges, Problems and Prospects”. The event was held by Iryna Hnatyshena, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Taxation, and researchers from the Department of Management, Marketing and International Logistics, Senior Lecturer Natalia Maksymiuk and Associate Professor Kateryna Hildebrant. During the conference, students discussed the problems of Ukraine's economic development and the prospects for the country's recovery after the war.

The participants listened to and actively discussed the following reports:

1. Career opportunities with knowledge of foreign languages. Speaker - Valerii Tokar, 1st-year student, majoring in Marketing.

2. The importance of foreign language skills in the hospitality industry. Speaker - Kateryna Ivaniuk, 2nd year student, majoring in Restaurant Technologies and Food Design.

3. Indispensable soft skills for a successful career. Speaker - Oleksandr Dudar, 2nd-year student, majoring in Marketing.

4. Current Problems and Possible Solutions for Post-War Reconstruction of Ukraine.

Speaker - Maksym Slovskyi, 1st-year student, majoring in Accounting and Taxation.

5. Impact of Social Networks on Internet Marketing of Enterprises. Speaker - Natalia Svidnitska, 2nd-year, majoring in Finance.

6. Wichtige Merkmale der Finanzierung kleinerer Unternehmen in Deutschland / “Financing of small enterprises in Germany - important aspects”. Speaker - Bohdan Fitsych, 1st-year, majoring in Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market.

7. Investitionen und Finanzierung in der Hotellerie / “Investments and financing in the hotel business”. Speaker - Serhii Cardinal, 1st-year, majoring in “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market”.

Summing up the discussion, the participants came to the following conclusion: Ukraine today is tired and torn, but at the same time strong and united. We need to make a lot of efforts to make our country revived and popular, with a strong economy, a country of high technology and new ideas.
