Forum of Representatives of Educational Institutions, Business,
Government and Public Organizations of Ukraine and Romania
On January 22, 2025, the Consulate General of Romania in the Chernivtsi city (Ukraine) hosted a Forum of representatives of local educational institutions, business, government and public organizations of the two countries. The event was initiated and organized by Ioan ITСO, a European Union expert on tourism development.
The Consul General of Romania in Chernivtsi, Irina-Loredana STANCULESCU, opened the meeting with a welcoming speech. Vasyl KYFYAK, Deputy Director of the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of SUTE, proceeded with his speech, having been personally invited by Mr. Ioan. The Professor drew attention in his speech to the need to attract investment in Ukraine's tourism sector. In particular, he encouraged foreign partners to join an extremely important cause - the creation of rehabilitation centers for war veterans and the development of infrastructure using the available natural and recreational resources of Bukovyna.
The Forum participants also touched upon issues of cross-border cooperation and Ukraine's integration into the European Union, as well as cooperation in education between Romanian and Ukrainian educational institutions. The parties discussed the creation of favorable conditions for economic cooperation at the regional level and the successful implementation of the cross-border projects.
Finally, Vasyl Fedorovych expressed gratitude the Romanian friends for their significant support and assistance during the war.
